Here is an editorial by the Editors at National Review with which I am in substantial agreement.
“… If the crunch that Paulson and Bernanke are warning about comes, it will squeeze off credit — the very lifeblood of capitalism — to businesses, entrepreneurs, and consumers all around the country. The Paulson plan is an intervention designed [...]

The House has voted down the compromise bill to stimulate the economy by buying bad loans from dietressed corporations. The Paulson plan, modified to include some things wanted by the Republicans in the house, was defeated with large numbers of both Democrats and Republicans voting no.
I am not sure that I am unhappy about this, [...]

2 Cor 12:12:1 ¶ It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

Here is an article where Andy Kessler thinks the Fed will make money on the deal as proposed.
You can slice the numbers a lot of different ways. My calculations, which assume 50% impairment on subprime loans, suggest it is possible, all in, for this portfolio to generate between $1 trillion and $2.2 trillion — the greatest trade [...]

Last year I read a book by Amity Shlaes, The Forgotten Man. This is a fascinating history of the Great Depression, and one that everyone who is worried we are headed for another Great Depression should read. Her premise, and I believe clearly true is that the policies of the US Goverment in the 1930’s [...]

Thank you for the fire of the Holy Spirit.
Be willing to go over into a place where sickness and disease do not have power over you.
If you agree with things opposed to God, you open yourself up for destruction.
Jesus said, come and learn of me, take my servitude of meekness and lowliness upon you. [...]
